hello,
I would like some opinions please...
I have one computer(p3 450@558)with an aopen pci 10 base-t ethernet card adapter-which is for my cable modem. I have another computer p233mmx that I use for video capturing (matrox rainbow runner series) and an old 3com network(?) card but I do not have a monitor for this computer.

I would like to use my p3, log on to the p233, capture some videos onto my p233, send the videos back to my p3 and do the actual video editing.

What type of network and connections? can I use the software that came with win98? what about pc anywhere-remote access?

So confused with all these terminologies...

Thanks everybody.

Buy a hub...enable file sharing...share a folder on the P3 and map a network drive from the older computer to the P3. Search around the web and you'll find stuff on setting up home networks. If you want step-by-step instructions...buy a book or search the web. If you wanna use the P233 without a monitor and buy some remote software...might as well use the money and buy a cheap 14" monitor...used even.
