what type of music do you like more

If you had to choose between those 2, which do you typically go for?

Personally I like instrumentals more than vocal.

most of the music I listen to (classical, jazz, electronica) don't even have vocals.

The music matters more to me than the vocals, both the singing and the lyrics.

But they do play an important role. Even better if the music, vocals and lyrics are good.

I'm guessing that men value instrumentals more and women value vocals more. I could have asked for gender, but since I know that 90+% of posters here are men then if my guess is right most will prefer "instrumentals".

This is not completely perfect assumption though, because it's possible that both men and women enjoy instrumentals more than vocals. Or it could be cultural preference, there's so many factors that could potentially influence this preference.
