what type of memory should i get to oc a 1600+

If you get genuine PC2700, then you are pretty much assured that your memory won't hold you back up to 166mhz. If you get your 1600+ to 166mhz, you're doing well. Much over that will start to require some exotic cooling and voltages, unless you have the magic CPU.

I have seen quite a few people use Crucial PC2100 up to 180MHz. Do a search Crucial and see what you get.

depending on your need...if you are using only 1:1 ratio...then you can get any reputable pc2700 like corsair, samsung, crucial, or mushkin...even kingston...but if you are going to use 3:4 or 4:5 which will hit 180+MHz memory bus...go with the best kinds...corsair xms pc3000c2, pc3200c2.5 or c2...samsung pc2700/pc3200...

This is an Athlon, not a Pentium 4. I get the same results at 4:5 as 1:1.
