I have DSL but keep getting hacked by others. Have contacted necessary authorities. They are probing the firewall but it takes hours to get it right everyday. Would like to place HW solution in system then all PC would just go out that way. Now they go through my NT server. Low cost the best.

Just curious, but have you tried software firewalls like NetworkICE's BlackICE firewall? I know a lot of people who use it and are very happy with it and have no problems whatsoever. I dont know about hardware solutions. You could get a router and set it up as a firewall, but that would be kinda expensive. BTW, how many machines are using your DSL connection?

Zone alarm is really easy, but ya have to play with it a bit, cuz it likes to block all traffic, including LAN traffic. When trying to add other computers, do yourself a favor and add em in a range, not singularly.

When I added them singularly, they didnt work at all, but a range works great.

SonicWalls products were rated highest by Network World magazine (SOHO solution)... if you are gonna buy a hardware firewall solution... i'd go with them... these products are easy to setup as well.

I guess I miss stated this. I am being hacked but they are not getting in. I have Zonealarm now which is so so. I can get Gaunlet from work, but it takes a major amount of time to setup. Zonealarm blocks all and not been able to get it to block just certain things. I use this as an ftp server for work, so I need to be able to access it from the office. I just need a simple easy solution. I do security at work so I really don't want to spend days at home doing same thing. These are not pro's trying my site just is pain in the butt. Thought HD would take care of things fast.

What kind of cost are we looking at here. Went to their website but they fail to mention price. The only thing I saw was Hardware product not just a software product.
