I've seen these A/Cs in Resteraunts here taht are around 6-8 inches high, 4 feet wide, 2-3 feet deep and hang on the ceiling.

I've been looking on google, but cant find the type name. Does anyone here know what they are called?

Although I don't think I've ever seen one mounted on the ceiling.

That's what I thought of first, just not Mr. Slim - I was thinking more Haier.

But 2-3 feet deep? Your description is very strange.

Yeah, his description actually sounds like those AC units you see on top of RVs.

They are ductless split systems.

The outside unit (condenser and compressor) are similar to a residential unit.

The indoor unit (evaporator coil and fan) are slim and can be mounted to the ceiling. They also make great spot coolers for server closets.

I thought they sounded more like smoke eaters.
