Hello guys, Im looking to buy a new TV for my bedroom and I was looking for something within the 42 to 46 inch area. My budget is approximately £500 so we are not talking about a top level TV here.

I found this one on amazon

http://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-47LN540V-Widescreen-Intelligent-Connectivity/dp/B00BS55Q4G/ref=sr_1_19?s=home-theater&ie=UTF8&qid=1401560404&sr=1-19

Do you have any experience with this TV ? I think its a very good price for a 47inch screen.

Any recommendations and tips would be helpful

I don't really care about 3D or any smart TV features either

Thanks

That is a pretty good price on an ok TV. For the money it will be hard to beat, unless you have a dark room then you can get this:

Hi mate and thanks for the reply. The one that you sent me is a 43 inch 720p TV shouldn't i care if its not a full hd tv ? (1080p)
Also after viewing some 42 inch TVs I found them to be kinda small so I am thinking of getting something bigger close to 46"-50" maybe ?

That is an interesting one actually. So you think I should consider going for a plasma instead of an LED ?

Yes it is a better value at 50 inches. I would get this though:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-PE5...d=1401654417&sr=1-1&keywords=plasma+tv+51inch

It is 720p but it will give you a picture quality that beats that 1080p LG or anything near that price point. Here is a review of the US model (so the same almost):

I have the samsung 55" smart and really like it. I also have the professional adjusted settings written down somewhere.

If you aren't using them I suggest you try them. I dunno why but I didn't use them for at least the first 6 months or something stupid. It made a big difference for me. Before that, I'd just been screwing with the color settings every now and then just guessing.
