what to wear to D.C.

I am going to DC tomrrow and i am coming from hawaii, i know its super cold there comparing to the warm weather we have been having here. I was wondering what do you guys usually wear in snowy weather (it might snow at DC tomorrow)? Do you guys just wear one layer of jeans? I don't think that will be warm enough for me.... hmm..

- jeans
- if its really cold, wear some pj's over the long johns and under the jeans
- undershirt (regular hanes thing)
- sweater (not too thick)
- sweatshirt
- thick winter jacket
- gloves
- hat
- ear muffs
- scarf.

As for the OP, the NorthEast will be unusually cold, so bundle up! Hat and scarf go a long way, so definitely buy those. Waterproof shoes would be helpful if you intend to trudge through snow.

You'll be fine. Just drink lots of hot chocolate and stay indoors. Also, if you need to feel better about the weather here in D.C., check out the threads where the Canadian folks are talking about temperatures that are down to -40 (F) with the wind chill. Now, that is damn cold.

 

Ya today was around 50 degrees but its gonna drop like a rock. Snow not tomorrow but thurs. Be ready... 😀

gimme a break, this place doesn't know what cold weather is. it was 50 degrees here today. i'd say the average this winter has been about 40, with one day into the 70's. if you think it gets cold in DC, you're kidding yourself.

uh... its expected to be a low at 2 degrees at DC sometime this week...
