What to wear for an interview on campus?

I have an interview with an unknown company next week held on campus. The interview is at 12:30pm and I'll be out of class by 12:00pm so what should I wear?

always better to be overdressed than underdressed:

black dress shoes, slacks (black preferably), a belt (duh), long sleeve dress shirt, and perhaps a tie, your call.

Good luck though! Hope you get it =)

it's for an IT position... If i wear a suit that would mean I'll be in class the whole day w/ a suit...

gotta make sacrifices to get a job. or find some way to change before the interview

Wear a suit. Even high school kids wear at least a tie when they have a sports event that day. Somehow I think a job is more important than a basketball game, don't you?

Yup suit, no less. If you dont have one, Buy one. You will ALWAYS need a good suit. Where a light colored shirt too. Not white, something softer. But well cleaned and pressed. If you do this right you will have the girls on you before you even mae it to the interview!

wear a suit or you won't get the job buddy

this first interview is to weed out the zeros, if the next guy wears a suit he'll go to the next round, you won't

Suit and Tie will not hurt you in the least. Be a trend Setter. You can always hang the jacket on your chair if it is too much, but wear it to the interview and dont take it off if they try to make you comfortable.

I have seen a lot of employers that like Long White Shirts. Depends on the company. I have not worn a Tie since my job interview being a Programmer Analyst.

be safe, suit and tie...

Not true. I've never been turned down for a job offer and I've never worn a suit. Although I'm sure the suit doesn't hurt, its definitely not comfortable and I'd rather not wear one.

It's not a 100% rule but it definitely helps.
