Hi...Can someone tell me how to connect my desktop mouse and keyboard to my laptop. I connected the monitor to the laptop with success, but it seems there's some kind of "y" cable needed to connect them to the laptop...via, i guess, the parrell port. I'm assuming this is a commom item, but don't know what it's called or where to get it. thanks, robert

Are you going to be using the mouse, monitor and keyboard all the time with your laptop? If so, your monitor plug will be the same. You may need a PS/2 "Y" cable to support both a mouse and keyboard.

If you're going to be switching between your desktop and laptop, then you need a KVM switch.

You may have to use usb. My dell 8100 plugs right out to monitor, with ps/z for key and usb mouse. I used it like that for dual monitors one crt and laptop screen.
