I am moving my OS install from one drive to another.
I tried to clone the drive using DriveImage XML from UBCD4Win. It said it was succesful so I unplugged my current OS HD and left the new one and no go.
I could see the Hard drive had all the data.

Wondering if I am missing something?

Thanks

I personally prefer ACRONIS for this type of operation. It appears the boot loader/sector wasnt copied with the current setup you have

And for Vista, you have to use version 11, build 8053. Cloning is best done with the TI prepared bootable CDR so that the OS is not directly involved in any part of the cloning process.

I agree. Running any clone or image operation is always best in DOS mode.

Not necessarily in "dos" but without the OS running to be more specific

Nothing better than good ol Acronis. I've been using it for years, beats Ghost anyday ;)
