Ok I just got my new system up and runing good and OC to 3.75ghz. I started backing up using vista's back up on DVD but that was going to be 12 dvd's and was going to take a very very long time to do.
What would be the best method for backing up that dosnt take forever to do?

ok thanks. I saw them on newegg, but figured I would need at least 500gig and thise are more than I can afford right now.
I do have a 300gig IDE drive that had a linux partion on it would it be worth instaling and formating to back up on ?

Are you referring back ups or clone? I usually do not back up OS or programs since they come with installation CD's. But I do back up data, i.e. files, pics, music, school works, etc. In addition, I have a clone of my OS and program hdd. Meaning if my hdd fails or for some reason my OS hit south, then I can unplug it and just plug in my clone hdd. It may not be up to date to the minute but should suffice to recover in a matter of minutes. My clone hdd is updated monthly or when I install new programs. It is strictly OS and program clone hdd. After each update (or re-cloning), I unplug it until I need it either for cloning or replacement for a failed primary os hdd.
