aight, i got my new HSF and Artic silver 3 in today and i was looking at the application insturctions and it mentions cleaning it with a lint free cloth (IE an eye glass cleaning cloth) but i dont have anything like that around...and would prefere not to buy one just for this... so i'm wondering what else i could use? and how bad a regular cloth rag would be for this??? thanks

hey eloric,

i've never personally tried this, but ppl have posted that a coffee filter works really well as a lint free cloth. personally, i've had no problem just using paper towels that don't leave any lint behind, but the coffee filter idea sounds good to me since they're just laying around in lots of ppl's houses.

hope this helps.

I think a dish towel or other clean towel should be fine. I definately WOULD NOT recommend using a paper towel - it can break up into bits and scatter all over the CPU. Use something that will keep together instead.
