What to swapp T2500 with?

hey everyone, i just recently got a laptop passed down from my brother. the processor is intel core duo T2500 at 2.0ghz. If i take it out what's a good processor i could buy for under 100$ maybe 150$?

you don't need a faster processor, you possibly need more RAM, and you probably need a faster harddrive.
But first you should uninstall a bunch of bloatware that the laptop came with and play around in msconfig to disable things you know you don't need loading on bootup.
