What to serve with crab cakes

Thinkin about making some. Serving just crab cakes with sauce seems plain. Any recommended side dishes? Corn? Crab? uh rice?

Hmm, some asparagus and a potato of some kind?

Here's a crazy idea, I had one of these at a Hilton bar one. Crab cake burgers. Basically the crab cake is the meat served on a good toasted bun with fries. Awesome.

fries go good with crab cakes.

Brown a handful of fine egg noodles in half a stick of butter (careful they go from brown to black real fast). Throw in 4 cups chicken broth, two cups of rice, and bring to slow simmer. Let simmer until 90% of liquid is gone, stir once, turn off burner, cover, and let sit for 10 minutes.
