What to run... SETI, Distributed.....

I will have a new Athlon XP 2000+ up and running soon so I am wondering what should I run. Currently I have been running distributed but it doesnt really matter to me what I run I just wanna help team anandtech so what area needs help? Here are the computers I will be able to run it on.
Processor only:
Athlon XP 2000+
CeleronII 533@800
G3 400 (If mac capable)
P1 200
And possible a 500MHz celeron.

Also at work we got in a dual 1ghz G4. I don't know when we will have time to set this puppy up but once we do I want to run some bench marks on the power of the dual 1ghz processors. So what program will run on the mac with dual processors. The only one I know of is distributed.

That Athlon will crank well on any project (from personal knowledge you can get a Seti WU done fast with that 2000+) 🙂 The Macintoshes will run RC5 the best I believe. All the TeAms could use help. Where does your interests lie?

I crunch Seti and ECCp.

As Crazee said it is where your interests lie. I was only doing SETI for a while until Folding@Home caught my interest, so now I have a couple doing Folding and the bulk still doing SETI. All the TeAm projects could use a boost and they all have thier strengths.😀

Crunch On!

WU!!WU!!WU!!

Agreed with what the last two said. 😉

SETI was my primary project for a looong time, but I'm now dividing my efforts amoungst it[SETI], Folding@Home and (once again) RC5. 🙂

The Macs will fly at RC5.

The Athlon XP will fly at Seti, and pretty much every other project out there!

I would personally put something like ECCp-109 on the P100 and the Celeron 500, and probably also the other Celeron. However, there are MANY other projects available that TA have teams for, check out this thread and pick one or more that you like the look of 🙂

Welcome to the TeAm of whatever project you choose, and don't hesitate to stick around here in our little DC forum and have some fun! Also if there are any questions you wish to ask here you are almost guaranteed a quick response (so long as people are awake 😉) 🙂

I like SETI cause it is the Grandfather that really made and proved distributed computing. I would suggest trying it at least so you could say that you have done it also there is a lot of support and a good learning experience what can be done with DC Distributed Computing.
Also I like the science projects however the math programs don't hold much interest cause some seem so fruitless and less practical. However there is rc-5 I don't know if there is prise money now but supposedly there are like less than 350 days left for the answer to be found so it like a 1 in 350 chance and subtract a day as each one passes. Before these security were smaller and of interest to know how much we needed for encryption strength.

The cancer one for lukemia is finished but the project continues and who knows about the continuation into what other cancer areas you get that one from intel.com/cure
There are 2 folding projects and in the future other ways to make determinations will race for the secret molicule<sp>
