Would I be getting a pretty decent upgrade by going with the 7 Pro? I'm not too keen on going back to Apple after having been on Android for the past 10 years or so but the Pixel, S10 and other flagships aren't really impressing me.

One question I have is this whole usb C headphone thing. Does that mean now I can't charge my phone and listen to music on my headphones at the same time? Why did OEMs get rid of the 3.5mm port?

Why they got rid of the port... prob cost savings? I prefer the 3.5mm jack myself, and my S10+ has it. On the other hand, I see the convience of bluetooth, but it makes headphones more expensive too...

If I was you, wanted to stick /w Android and want a 3.5mm jack, I'd go with a S10. If you're OK w/o the headphone jack, the OnePlus 7 is nice for the price.

I have had the 10+ since it came out and have 0 plans to upgrade, it is a perfect phone for me. I went from a Note 7 to the 10+, so I was worried about the no stylus, but I honestly never used it.

I mean, having 3.5mm is just convenient. I use my phone a lot as my music source (gym, watching TV/music when wife is in the same room) and having to worry about a little usb to 3.5mm adapter would be pretty annoying. I can see myself losing it multiple times.

How's the camera of the S10+ vs the 7 Pro?

I love the camera on the S10, no direct experience to compare /w the OnePlus. But I do think the S10 has dual lens front cam vs single on the OnePlus.

How soon do you need one? I've got an S8+ and I want a new phone as well. I'm holding out for the S11 that is supposed to be released in Feb. There are a bunch of articles out there with leaked photos and specs. It looks like it's going to be pretty awesome.

yea the s11 looks so cool, 108mp camera, i have the s10+ (purchased used for 350ish) and would buy the s11+ if its the right price and give away the s10+, the camera is great, speed is great screen size great. Bluetooth earbuds are like 40$ for decent ones at the most so i dont see how 3.5mm jack even matters (tho i do use it i dont use it often and could get away with Bluetooth only) JBL has some earbuds for 40 right now that are really good. the one plus 7 has very fast storage. Anandtech has reviews for all the phones just about and you can see battery life storage speed camera samples etc.

Wasn't crazy about my 8, battery finally gave up. New 10E not dramatically different, no edge screen, hated it glad it's gone. Same usable screen size. Mine is Verizon.
