so ive started project #1 for this summer. im building (putting together) a pair of speakers for my dad. got the cab together and i have a handle on the wiring, however what i don’t know about is the xover.

1) what do i attach the components to? will any 1/8in thick piece of MDF work?
2) how do i attach it to the speakers/where?

some polyfill,

anyway not getting at what you are asking, im asking what to assemble the corssover on, small piece of wood, then mount it inside the cab is what im guessing, because you cant just leave the caps and such dangling around

on a pcb of course. When you said cross over, I assumed you were referring to the whole assembly.

It was obvious I was just listing electronics related component no?

I like to use a piece of cheap 1/8" plywood or hardboard. I've seen people use pegboard, acrylic, or other pieces of plastic. Pretty much anything that isn't electrically conductive will work.
