ATHLON XP-M 2500+ Barton
SAMSUNG 512MB PC3200 DDR400 (2 Sticks)
SOLTEK 75FRN2-L NFORCE2, or DFI INFINITY NFORCE2 ULTRA400 SATA 1394
THERMALRIGHT ALX-800 80CFM 52.5DBA (loud but I can live with it)
RAIDMAX SCORPIO 868 ATX 420W (haven't made up my mind on the colour -- blue, black, or silver)
MAXTOR 120GB SATA 8MB
LG LG GSA-4120B

I have an existing Geforce4 440 graphic card that can go in the box (waiting for the better cards to come down in price).

Thanks for the link.

I can't get the XP-M 2400+ here locally, and reading up on the Samsung ram I found it can easily do 225 mhz (I?m not looking for any faster speed that the Barton can do). Also, the Speeze can do best at 37CFM, while the noisy ALX-800 delive a whopping 80CFM (I'm going to monitor the CPU temp, then play around with lowering the voltage (I should be able to lower the fan to 25-26 DBA and stil Achieve 35 CFM or more -- assuming that the fan can handle as low as 5-6v).

What do you think of the mobo, case and DVD burner choice?

I've used the case before; surprising quality for the price (definitely not flimsy).

DFI mobos always get good reviews. Haven't heard anything about the soltek, but if it uses an nvidia chipset, it's usually good to go.

no idea on the burner. most people go with the nec for $60, or the dual layer nec for $70.
