What to get....

My birthday is coming up and my parents are asking me what I want. Problem is that I dont know what I want. I was kind of thinking about a laptop but I am not sure if I would get much use out of it. I am a college student so I can try to take notes with one, but looking back at this semester I can see that having a laptop to take notes would have been more of an inconvenience than a convenience. Help me out guys, give me some (serious) ideas.

Here is some stuff I dont need/want:
digital camera
lcd monitor
photo printer
desktop computer/periphs for desktop computer.

Hadnt really thought about that, although I have an mp3 cd changer in my car that has all of my mp3s in it and again I dont see much use of one. I am usually at my desktop, in my car, in class, at work, or out iwth friends....so if I am doing anything other than the first thing, I shouldnt be listening to mp3s anyway.

I guess the word serious has many different definitions depending on who you ask around here.

I'd go with an LCD or a digital camera. LCD because I don't have one, and digital camera because I love the one I have. 😀

ups

Ummm..... you might want to re-read that part of my post. You just told me all the stuff I said that i DONT want or need.

You don't seem to want/need electronic stuff.
How about something for your car?

Are you away at College, or do you live at home?
Can you give us a rough price range?

My car is only going to last another couple of years, so I dont really want to put anything more towards it. And I dont want to ask for help for a new one so I am stuck wiht the payments. I live at home but will probably move out in May or so. And price range is I would say less than 1500, but just because I say 1500 doesnt mean I would rather have something thats 1500 instead of something thats cheaper. Oh and I dont want a new TV.

A nice set of computer speakers for gaming/listening to music? I love my Z560s, but I'd definitely get the Z680s if I were in your position.

Keep the ideas flowing guys. Camcorder would be cool but again I dont see me getting very much use out of it. And I already have a decent set of speakers, and I dont have enough room for a bigger set.

Have your folks pay every other payment on your car for a while, or have them put some money into a 'trust fund' for you that will go toward your next car.
A gift certificate to Old Navy, The Gap, Sears, Walmart, Abercrombie, whatever.

Believe me, I take sex very seriiously. 😉

lol

It's actually not that bad an idea, when you think about it. After all, a console or an mp3 player would be obsolete after a short while, and they're just objects anyway. A mind-blowing experience with a high-priced hooker, on the other hand, will produce wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. Your birthday is your day, your day to celebrate your life and enjoy being young while you still can. Why waste it?

how about something that will get you out more. Like theatre tickets, or a trip to cancun. Something that won't give you cancer from all the electro-magnetic frequencies!(sp) or an std from the high priced hooker.

Get a trip to Europe.

for 1500 you can have a nice little two week rendezvous.

get some culture.
eat some good food.

and an adventure beyond any gift you will get otherwise.
