what to get: Plextor 32X/12X/10X or Plextor 32X/8X/4X

Not sure, but the BURN-Proof feature of the 12/10/32 might be worth the price itself if you want to protect yourself from coasters...

EDIT: That and the added 12x of course, cds in 6 minutes 🙂

If your system is busy(your surfing, playing a game, or whatever) and can't send data to the burner at the moment, the burner will simply wait until data is available. Instead of just making a coaster since it couldn't stop.

EDIT: At Buy.com it is $248, but with a $30 coupon it becomes $218.

I think I will go with the 32/12/10...
But I dont get a free 10pack of CD-R's with this one, like I would of if I bought the 32/8/4. Oh well...:frown:

Free Bump for the Plextor 12x!
If you have a cheap SCSI card ---> go with the 12/10/32 SCSI version. Burn Baby Burn.

--SCSI

12x definately. And as for CDR's... if you want to pick up some good quality cheap cdr's (especially 80min. ones) go to Outpost.com... they have 50 packs of Kingston Hypermedia 80 min. cdr's for around 14 bucks... maybe 15 for the 12x ones. I've already bought a couple of spindles from them.

no brainer.. go for the 12x. burn proof and 10x rewrites. dang.
plus.

100 TDR CD-R's 12x @ CompUSA for 19.95 after 20.00 rebate for the store.
