We're Asian and don't do registries..most people just give her money but she's a lawyer and her+husband make enough as it is so I'm looking to do something a bit more personal.
My sister's getting married in a few weeks, and also moved into a new house..so it could be a combo wedding/housewarming gift.
What's appropriate for such situations? I figure I could spend up to ~$400-$500 or so.

Don't do registries because you're Asian? I didn't know that was an Asian thing. One of my best friends is full Korean - parents don't speak English - and he had a registry when he got married. Of course his wife was white so maybe that's why...
