Heartening to read how you've really gone out of your way for the ol' man.

Fvck the 20$ and buy him some nice pure malt if he is a scotch man, if not, buy him some nice wine or whatever. 20$ buys you a stick of gum and a pair of socks.

Get one of his favorite movies on DVD. If he has no DVD player, get a player and the movie.

A plate of rice and beans, and a very friendly Cuban woman from Calle Ocho.....and you'll still have change left over!

Sorry to hear that, someone else mentioned dinner, that is a good idea.

As a father, that would be the kind of thing i would have wanted from my son.

wash the cars. mow the yard. invite him to GO to a movie with you.

your time will mean way more to him than your money.

Just spend the day with him, take him out to dinner, go fishing or to a museum or something, maybe get him a good book or two.

You don't HAVE to do it on his birthday. I'm sure there is a day where someone can cover for him and he can go out with you.
