fusetalk forums $250.00 for my new site im making

that's all i really need right now.

or if not, ill probably buy something for my car.

what do you think?

Those all seem to be luxuries. Isn't there something that you really need to survive? If you already have a fairly high speed cdrw or 19+ inch monitor then don't go for the first two choices. Car stuff is always fun though.

Does Plextor have 40x out yet? Anyways it'd be a sweet buy if you have something like 8x. I wouldn't bother if you already have a 16x or even 12x writer, because after about 16x, law of diminished returns really shows. Compared to 12x writer, you'll cut the burning time to half since the average time of whole disc recording is 24x on a 40x recorder. You'll save whopping 3.5minutes per disc. Not worth it unless you're burning sh!tload of CD's on regular basis.

Actual average speed is calculated on basis of 80min recorded to 100% full from image. 80min/actual min=actual avg speed.
12x CLV writer, atual avg speed: 11.7x; ratio 9.75:10
16x CLV writer, actual avg speed: 14.4x; ratio 9:10
24x Z-CLV writer, actual avg speed: 19.3x; ratio 8:10
40x Z-CLV writer, actual avg speed: 24x; ratio 6:10

as you can see, the difference in actual and rated speed spreads apart as rated speed increases.

I'd get the monitor. It one of the best upgrade you can make to a computer. Ofcourse, if it was me I'd demand everything 😀
