Requests for help aside. I have been for the past couple months doing D2OL but it looks dead now. So now what team to do. I have been toying with Distributed folding for a while but have not learned enough to like it. Need good sound advice.

You may want to give Find A Drug a look. It has molecules for Bioterrorism research like D2OL, as well as Cancer, Pesticides and Herbicides, HIV, Proteome, and others all in one project. You can select or deselect what you want to work on from the console. It doesnt have an elaborate Stats setup like D2OL and you only complete about 3 or 4 jobs per day, but it does have a lot of potential for helping mankind and its another one of those projects where a few new members will go a long way in moving the TeAm up the ranks. I have been running it on a couple machines the past 18 hours and its pretty friendly... very little ram usage as well. Windows only however.

I wouldnt give up entirely on D2OL either, but they have some reorginazation to do right now.

TSC uses the same engine as D2OL , but they have their own servers, i don't know that they go down, i run TSC on a single P3-450 PC and i never check it or the stats, but as far as i know, it has been running without problems for a few months now

The Team DF can use your help in Distributed Folding, we are currently in 6th and could use all the help we can get. The program is very stable and have very very few problems almost as good as RC5-64's was! Again, we could use your help and it would be greatly appreciated! Check out our DF Daily!

I'd hate to see you go Carrot, but if your patience is at an end, I understand 🙁 Personally, I'm going to stick it out until we hit #1 ... maybe not in 2002, but certainly not long into 2003 🙂

TSc hasn't had a problem running out of work since they took it away from the d2ol people and started running it theirselfs but there is still a problem with stalling but there is a couple of programs out now that takes care of that and they will be replacing the candiates after the first of the year which they hope will take care of the problem
