I think your CPU is too hot by all indications. Is this what you want to discuss?

If it is then check it with a Craftsman's IR non contact laser to verify the temps.

or you can use a meat temperature probe if nothing else is available.

Anything over 65C is critical. My AMDs never get above 50C on full loads.

its a turion bro not an athlon they are completly different the ammount of heat the turion produces is much more than athlon and i dont think he said he was running these tests on a laptop

Sorry this is running in a laptop with AS5 and look at the temps!! my other friends laptop runs at 48C idle I run at 75C+

My CPU temp on my laptop is 40C. I had it once freezeup on me when I downloaded SP2 a while back and it ran at 100% load.

My computer shutdown was at 65C. There are boundaries that can't be passed and all I have to say is something's definitely wrong.

I'd say bad heatsink contact. Is the laptop under warranty? Get it fixed! If it isn't, take it apart and reseat the heatsink.

done that over and over again with no success

I will be sending this to the manufacture so that they can see other then me what other people are saying.

Do you have the Cool N' Quiet, or whatever they call it on laptops, enabled? Just noticed that the processor is always running at full speed. That could be a factor in your higher amount of heat being produced.

power now is enabled. but its on full performance mode. ether way it still running to hot. with the power now enabled (36% of cpu speed) it goes to 57idle which is still to hot.

Have a tech or your friendly computer repair guy look at it before it burns out. Stop using the laptop, turn it off before it dies.

that sounds really hot. i have an AMD Athlon XP-M 2400+ OC'ed to 2.2Ghz. it idles at 33-35 and never goes above 52 even when encoding movies or stuff like that.

Ya, It is hot, it should be hovering 25C below what its saying right now that would be ok. But its not. I will re apply AS5 yet again and see what happends

I have a feeling your temperature indicating software/sensor is messed up. At thos temps, the laptop should shut down automatically. Is the fan running all the time?

The fan is running,and the shut down temp is 95C it never hit that so.... I don't want to try. And the laptop air coming out is too hot to leave you hand there

well I called and I am getting a new heatsink, then if I am still having the problem I guess I going to have to send the laptop with all the parts in it. So they can find out wtf with up with my laptop
