I had to send back my ipaq h6315 because it was having a wifi problem...

I sent it back, and call to order another...it's been permanently removed from tmobile for upgrades. I don't want to order the treo again (not that I could, they removed that too). I need a phone asap. I'm not in a contract with tmobile anymore, so hypothetically, I could switch; I don't want to though, since data service everywhere else is twice as much.

Any suggestions? I'm feeling like SOL right about now. I don't want to go blackberry, since those are pretty much useless without the $40/mo BB plan....which defeats the purpose of staying with tmo.

I'm liking the Siemens SX66 phone...any ideas if I can get it somewhere unlocked GSM?

I appreciate anybody helping

Outside of a corporate environment, I cannot understand the fascination/need to access your email from anywhere.

Cheapo Samsung phone > j00 ;)

Edit: For real advice, I have none. There does not yet exist a phone/PPC that meets my wants... (That's why I'm staying with the cheap phone for the time being)

It's not for the emails only...

I used to get that on my regular phone

You have no idea how useful and convenient it is to stay connected wherever you are, and if need be, type up a report, or do something on excel etc. I use it as my mp3 player as well. In addition to that, I can use instant messaging functionality, and browse the web as much as I want or need. It really is a full PC in my pocket :)

Upgrade != warranty repair

Did you send in your handset for warranty repair or did you keep it and upgrade to a new phone?

Upgrade != warranty repair

I bought the ipaq...wifi didn't work so I requested an RMA...they send me a refurb for a phone I just bought new and can easily return. I send both back to them (complete refund and no contract extention)

So as of now, I'm using my really old phone and in need of a pocket PC stat :p

yeah, never liked them. Also never liked cingular (had them before, and horrible service)

Essentially, I'm stuck with tmo; I just need to buy an unlocked GSM phone somewhere and hook it up to tmobile
