I currently live in an apartment. My lease ran out and we are living month to month. Now when we are under lease, we are required to give the complex 60 days notice. If i dont, they will charge me one months rent. Now there is a house i want to move into for rent, but they want me to move in Nov 1. Since I am living month to month, do I still need to give 60 days notice?
I dont want to, 🙁

month to month, i dont think you have to. check your copy of the lease agreement. or call the office and ask.

Depends on how your lease is worded. In most cases, even though you are now on a month to month deal, the lease terms are still in effect, meaning you still have to give 60 days.

I will read it thoroughly when i get home. I really dont want to stay for 2 more months, when there is a house waiting

Depends on how cool the apt manager is. One of my roommate gave 5 day notice while we were living month to month. The apt manager was really cool about it since the roommate found a replacement tenant. I would imagine that's all they really care about.
