What to do with....

We purchased 15 new DELL PC's a while back each with it's own video card (an ATI 2400 256MB PCIe x16) as opposed to integrated graphics.

Then, as part of another project (that we didn't know about at the time of the DELL purchase) we ended up replacing each of those cards with a dual display card.

So I've been looking at these 15 video cards wondering if I can do anything constructive with them. They won't let me sell them (for liability reasons, corporate says) and I'd hate to just toss them in the trash or send them to the recyclers.

Other than a geeky sculpture is there anything I might be able to do with them?

Offer to buy them from your company and THEN sell them. The company I work for (a large, well-known bank) lets us buy really old computer parts for pennies on the dollar. Unless you're in government work, there should be 0 security risks associated to buying old computer equipment.

I'd try the route that superjim mentioned. Sumerjim is also from Iowa, where I am from originally (go Hawks), so I find him credible 😉

They are going on Ebay for $15 to $30 it looks like, so offer to buy them for $5 or something and turn a healthy profit.

You can also see if there is some computer recycling "charity" if you are in a larger city, who will give you a reciept for a tax write off (or a reciept for your company).
