what to do with vintage audio set??

I have this HPM-700 (Not my video) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKX9w12nx98 and an older harmon kardon audio receiver to go with them.

I don't see how this could work in a 5.1 setup, because you generally need matched speakers?

Any Ideas? Right now it's sort of a parlor room set for music only.

Those would make a great front soundstage. Run a phantom center channel till you can find another one to use as a center.

Been running 4.1 phantom center for ages. I prefer it. Why? More money to spend for quality mains for times when you want to listen to music. Also in my experience, you really only need center channel when you room is HUGE or for a real home theater. Most living rooms aren't both or even either.

I wonder though, don't you have pairing issues for these things?

I have a 5.1 harmon kardon HKTS setup right now and it works great for what it is. I think mine was the cheaper version of what is currently out....
