I have an old 1st gen iPod nano just sitting around that I haven't used in years because I have an iphone now and also the click wheel is half broken. Last week though I got an e-mail saying there is a recall on some 1st gen nano's due to defective batteries and mine qualifies for replacement! So, what should I do with it once I get the replacement? I have no use for it, and I think it would be hard to sell for much considering it is a 7 year old design and you can get new ones for pretty cheap.

Hell I'll give mine away if I ever get the refurb one back (been 2 weeks and I'm still waiting on the box to ship it in).

I have zero use for it.

Overcharge the battery and then go take a long commercial flight?

Hook it up to an amp/speakers, crank up some slayer and then shoot it at 100 yards. You'll know you hit it when the slayer stops!

Crap, mine is 2nd gen. I want a recall. My battery is dead and watching the battery changing videos it looks like the nanos require some soldering (as opposed to pretty much every other model). I suck at soldering.
