I just received my 1.2 GHZ 266 FSB athlon processor and an Iwill kk266 MB. i also just got my 256 MB of crucial pc133 RAM. my question is should i keep the old ram that i have, which is PC100 128MB? would there be any problems accosciated with keeping my old RAM and adding it to my new RAM to make it 384 MB or should i put in the new one and throw out the old one???

I think that the best idea would be to sell the old PC100 (throwing it out would be a waste :) If you put the old 128mb in, all the system ram would be running at PC100 speeds. Nowadays, the amount of ram doesn't make a big difference once you surpass 128mb. So having 256mb PC133 would be a lot faster than having 384mb PC100. The most physical memory I've ever used in Win2k is 112mb, so 128mb would be enough, but I have 256mb anyway.
