Next weekend my 2011 Mazda Miata is getting its first set of major upgrades. I am replacing the Exhaust with the GWR RS "Q", Progress Springs and Progress Sways. What to do with the OEM parts. Should I leave it with the guy replacing it for me (yes I am having him do the springs, the cost of the sway and exhaust install arent much more. I am not doing shocks right at this moment because the Koni's apparently make the car drop another 1/2 inch (total of 1 inch with teh progress springs) and I may not get out of the driveway.

Anyway what to do with the OEM parts?

Bit different case since you aren't doing the work, but if possible keep the OEM parts and put them back on the car when you sell it. I believe modified cars are harder to sell, you need to find the exact person that likes the mods you've done. I'd turn the car back to stock and sell the mods on an enthusiast forum.

If you are going to keep it until it falls apart, then sell then on ebay or craigslist. There are always people like me that want to take vehicles back to stock or for repair parts

Yep keep parts for when its time to sell. Or worse case sell the parts at a Miata site for those that need the parts for a stock car.

I'd store then for when you have to sell if you can. If you don't have room there is always ebay/craigslist.

I kept my cat when I had my exhaust put on but had them dump everything else. Couldn't fit the rest in the car to bring it home. Otherwise I try to keep as much as possible.

well i am not leasing the car and I do not plan on selling it. However you are right, those extra parts could be used by someone who has modded it. Alright I'll bring the parts back home and then figure out if there is any market.

A lot harder to sell a modded car.

sold my Accord shift knob after upgrading to a TL one. Normally I would keep the OEM ones but TL one looks even better (and more OEM)!

i have the bulk of my parts.

stock springs/shocks, stock CAT, camber arm, OEM front A-arms. OEM wheels. INTAKE and minor stuff.

If you do sell your sway/spring/exhaust doesn't have to be listed. Most wouldn't know about the sway. If they look down and see it, it could be a bonus. Obviously they are going to know about the exhaust. The springs are 50/50 pending on who comes.
