I have an ALR Revolution 6x6 tower, very big and meant for 6 cpus, 4 or 6 large hot swap PSU's, and multiple scsi drives. I'm planning on gutting it, but not sure what to turn it into. I've thought about it housing at least 2 seperate PC's or possibly turning it into a fridge setup with a pc in it. As I could isolate the 2 easily. Other than that I have nadda.

The case is too impractical to sell since its so large and no one wants to pick ut up. And I can't throw anything away, soooo i need idears.

*sigh* i would love something that massive for a server build. :T
And yeah the shipping sucks on such a large thing.

I think i already ran out of room in your case if i wanted to do what i wished for. :T

Case inside a case? Seal the big case completley, pad it, soundproof it, seal it, duct in good airflow with huge quiet fans, then put a second rig inside of it. Open door, see loud computer, close door, hear nothing.

Or do case inside a case inside a case.

yeah. :T

theoretically i was going to set it up this way. pump handing cold side constantly cooling reservoir.

dual pump to the cpu block from that cold reservoir.

pump on the hotside of the tecs.

Pump on the gpu blocks.

now i need to think of a way to stack them side by side.

I posted up some thoughts in your thread over there. I've used larger scale pelt chillers for a few other purposes including some direct die and chilled/heated liquid loops.

could work, I'd bet with 1" padding on all sides you still do full ATX with a case inside a case. 2" padding I'm fairly sure would require uATX. Could be kinda cool(pun intended) with proper airflow but, I've found that proper airflow in and of itself is not quiet.
