what to do with messed up car?

i have a friend, her car is completely messed up. It's been through 3 or 4 accidents and the repair shop didn't do a good job. It has lots of electrical gremlins like CEL, SRS, MAINT light coming on and not going away. I don't suppose there is an ok way to get rid of this car in a legit manner while not losing out too big? The car in question is a 2000 accord.

Donating cars to charity will yield a nice amount in tax write offs and the best part is, cars donated don't have to be in good working order or even running. If I were you, I'd look into donating the car.

I think she's screwed. How did she allow herself to so badly abuse a 2000 accord? It's not like it's a 92 yugo...
