What to do with an old system?

I have finished shuffling hardware around in my house and the lowest rung on the ladder has dropped off. I've had this system for about 9 years in some capacity and it has been bulletproof.

Is there really a market for this hardware? When I look up prices on ebay, prices are so low not to make it worth my while. I could see myself donating it, but I'm not sure who would take it. I even ran XP on it in my bedroom for a while since it was passively cooled and hardly made a peep. It was fine for playing MP3s and checking the weather before I got dressed in the morning.

Any friends or family lacking a PC to type documents / browse the web with?

I've already given them my old (better) hardware. :)

File server on home network? NAS? TV-recording box? Send it to someone on AT who's willing to pay postage? Folding@Home box?

Thanks, I'm going to look into some of those charities. I agree that folding with a processor like this one doesn't make it worth my while. I don't actually have a case for the system, but I think someone at work was trying to get rid of some old cases the same way I'm trying to get rid of their guts. :)
