Hi

A little back story

I bought a h100i off of ebay
It arrived in good shape
Before I installed it I noticed that it was leaking from one of the connectors on the pump end and while trying to push it back on it came off totally and sprayed water and whatever else was in there all over me :(
Contacted Corsair and they said can't help since it wasn't from an authorized retailer
Contacted place I bought it from on Ebay and they just refunded my purchase price and said keep it
Ok sure
But now its almost empty of fluid

Anything I can do with this?
Possible to refill it?

Thanks

I can post a pic but nothing is broken
The hose came off of the connector as it wasn't on all of the way
When I tried to press it in I wiggled it and it came off and was under pressure and leaked all over

Yes, of course I was referring to that portion that came off as broken (broken = unusable). Its better to have a look at how cleanly and where exactly it came off to determine what can be done to fix it.

The rad might be decent in a custom loop for a tight space. I believe it uses 3/8"s tubing.

For example space is pretty tight in the Ncase M1 and a few people are using dual 240mm rads but the bottom rad has to be slim. Most slim rads bottom out at 30mm but at 27mm the H100i rad might open up different fan choices or reduce back pressure with current options.

Charging a battery now thought I had one charged

There isn't anything broken
the hose came off of the nipple or whatever you want to call it and leaked

I noticed when I opened the box that the hose wasn't attached fully and when I tried to push it on was when all the water came out

So nothing broken just almost no fluid left inside of it

Is it possible to refill?

The hose came off from the block end

Will get my own pic up asap

There is a collar around the pipe. Did that come off or is it part of the plastic elbow joint?

As it came off in the pump side, it'll be tricky and costly to repair. If it was broken on the radiator side, it would've been easier and a lot cheaper. Another alternative is to replace the tubing entirely or partially (only the broken section). But for that, you'll need tubing and reservoir.

You need a reservoir to make filling easier. Swiftech MCRes Rev2 is about $25 and that's the cheapest option. For the tubing, you need to measure the outer diameter of the elbow joint. Find tubing with the same inner diameter as the outer diameter of the elbow joint, then go one size smaller than measured.

It has to be a very tight fit, else it'll just come off. Its even more important if the elbow joint is not flanged like a conventional watercooling barb. You can fit a smaller sized tubing after dipping the open end in hot water, making it slightly softer. You would need to clamp the pipe ends once its connected. Thick cable ties is sufficient.

Once you've replaced the original tubing with new tubing and a reservoir, all is needed is to fill it with distilled water from the reservoir.

Here are some pics

The collar isn't plastic its just a rubber end cap for the hose
more for aesthetics than anything

But it is what made me look closer at the unit when I received it as the cap was in the box and not on the hose

Is it safe to refill with distilled water and try again?
There is still some fluid in the radiator I can hear when I move it around

You can't just refill it without adding in new tubing and reservoir. If you fill it and plug it back as it is right now, you'll have air bubbles in the loop and if there are too many, it'll create a gushing sound. You can submerge the pump unit and the that tubing in a pail of distilled water to overcome that, but you might just wreck the pump since it isn't waterproof.

If you're willing to take the risk of submerging and filling, do as I've mentioned in the first paragraph. Slip in a worm drive clamp to ensure that tubing doesn't come loose. Before attempting, flush out the original fluid and get this and add it to the distilled water. Its necessary to prevent algae.

Thanks for your help :)

I think I am going to order a Swiftech Micro res and a few feet of 3/8" id tubing and try and put it all back together
