I was just wondering how you guys use those cdrs. I bought a 50 pack 1 year ago, and still I have about 25 left. meanwhile, I got 400 + cdrs now lying around (thanks to OM, Microcenter, outpost). Could you post what you burn in those cdrs?

one idea - i have an enormous cd collection form pre-burner days, so i'm converting those cd's to mp3's, then burning the entire albums so i can then sell the original cd's, that i hardly ever listen to anymore anyway, but i have a backup just in case i wanna get sentimental....

I have still got 9 100 packs of Imation Cd'rs from last June when Office Depot sold them to me for 2.60 when they had that 155% low price guarantee. I have only used like 100 cd's since I'm not into collecting playstation games or vcds anymore.

I'm in the same boat. With all the free and almost free CD-R deals lately I have almos 1000 of those little discs laying around my study. They are hard enough to find a place for when they are on a spindle, what am I gonna do if I actually put something on all these things? I guess it's time to start using some of them for gifts...and since everyone that wants you to burn them something never seems to give you a blank back I guess they will dissappear on their own. I wander what the half-life of 1000 CD-Rs is?

Coasters.
Party favors.
Things to spread all over a restaurant that you hate.
Things to toss at things you hate.
Things to give to your dog (I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS FROM THIS!)
Burn hard disk backups.
Burn music from Napster or any other services/sites (tons of them are around).
Backup software you own.
Things to hand out to friends as small gifts.

<< wow, I bet a 50 cdr spindle in the microwaves is something to see........ >>

All at once? That would be nice ;)

On a sidenote: don't forget to turn off the microwave after some time, else you'll have to buy a new one :D
