So I have like 400 burned cd's\dvds etc. Half of them are just on cd spindles or in jewel cases stacked.

I get tired of looking though stacks of these things.

Is there any good deals on cd wallets at local stors at the moment?

Staples is right up the street

What on Earth do you have 400 CDs of?

And I know the obvious joke to that is "porn!!" But seriously, what's on it? Is it worth saving?

$20 at Target will get you something that'll hold over 200 discs I think.

400 is a lowball number.

I have tons of anime/movie conversions to .mp4/hundreds of backed up dvd's.

My brother has 250 dvds +my 100 and I made a backup of each one so that we would have them if they got stolen in college.

Game backups. you name it

Yep. I have a 200 CD zippered "notebook" style holder I picked up at Target. Each page hold 8 CD's (4 front, 4 back). Get a couple of these and you'll be set.

spindle them and put them in a closet. Any of the ones you use regularly, rip to an external HD.

I think mine was like $15 at BB and it wasn't on sale. Nice quality, too. Case Logic brand - nylon, not that nasty fake leather.

400 isn't that much... especially when you have a monthly membership for blockbuster/netflix + dvd burner... :D

I have 420 gb's but a lot of that is filled. A primary 300 and a slave 120 5400rpm. The 120 though has 100 gigs of music on it

I got a 200 wallet a year or two back at Wal-Mart, it was either $8 or $14ish not on sale. They had like half aisle of them near the back by electronics. It hasn't made my excess CDs disappear though. I just keep my useful ones in it, take them out to use them, never put them back, and then they just end up on a spindle again. I end up having to organize them every couple of months anyway.

Buy a 500 GB hard drive (~$100 after rebates)
Buy a USB 2.0 enclosure ($30)

You'll have all your stuff stored and you'll be able to take it wherever you go. You can't do that with 400+ CDs.

Wel technically, lets says i have 20 cdr's and about 380 dvdrs

20 x 700mb = 14gb
380 x 4.7gb = 1786gb
-------------------------
1.8 tb. Pack that in 2 200 cd wallets and you can take it anywhere.
