I already bought another to replace this, so no scamming ideas please.

It won't pass post, I am pretty sure I broke a few circuit traces when I used an oversized screw on it (long story).

anyone got any brilliant / fun idea with a dead mainboard?

I think shoving it up your behind would be hilarious. Just make sure you remove the CMOS batt.

Years ago I ran over a dead motherboard with a Leopard tank (THE Canadian tank) just for the fun of it. Unfortunatly I lost the pictures. Surprisingly, the board survived relatively undamaged. I guess the weight of the tank is so well distributed that it did not crush the board completely.

We tried to set a mainboard on fire. We poured gasoline all over it, but it wouldn't catch on fire no matter what we did. A few of the caps blew up though.

Set it down somewhere in Boston, then stand back and watch the hilarity.

Make sure to epoxy it to wherever you leave it. ;)

Be sure to glue some batteries and extra wires to it, so the police can tell the media "it contained some of the same components that bombs do" like they did in the other case.

Give it to some kid. If he can fix it, he can keep it? BTW, I have a dead, ancient 15" CRT lying around. Thoughts on what I can do with that? All I can think of is smashing it to bits and making an ultra-slow-motion video out of it....hmm...Office Space....

Yeah, hopefully it'll let you fix your problem with posting the same thing twice in a row ;) :D
