What to do with a crapped out car?

Deeko

Lifer
My car's head gasket is cracked, and I ain't puttin that much money into it(again)....is there anything I can do with the remains?

part it out or your local salvage yard will come pick it up and pay you x.xx amount depending on what type it is.

yoou can ebay the parts and tear it up as you sell them. if the car is not in good shape, sell it to your local salvage yard. they will usually pick it up for you. if the car really sucks they may charge you.

Deeko,

I swear you car is cursed. You've had nothing but the worst luck with it ever since you've got it. I have the same kind of car (94 Grand Am and I haven't had anywhere near the problems you've had).

I suggest either:
1) A really big bon fire
2) See what a junk yard would give you for the parts.

Dave

Sell it as a "fixer-upper" on Ebay. A head gasket is a pretty labor intensive job, but (assuming nothing else is damaged) the parts to fix it cost maybe $10-20. There are plenty of backyard mechanics who'd buy it, assuming the rest of it is in passable shape, fix it up, and sell it at a decent profit.

There's a "U-Pull it" junkyard out in Bristol if you wanna give it a show and see how much they want for it. or sell the car on ebay haha
