What to do with a broken laptop...

I have a broken Alienware Area51-m laptop...the LCD was destroyed and the case itself is in pretty bad condition. Inspite all of this, the computer itself still works fine.

Is there a way to put the laptop motherboard into a desktop case? trying to come up with some alternate uses for this...any other ideas?

Last time I was on eBay, they had all sorts of parts for these things!

I'd refurbish it... 😉

Why take it out of the case? Plug a monitor into it, get a usb hub, and away you go. Aside from that, you could put VNC on it and turn it into a headless file server.
