You should monitor their traffic and in they are doing nothing wrong send them a message and let them know that if they act up they are being monitored

Someday when I'm feeling evil, I'm going to patch a 110VAC cable to a CAT5 cable, and snake it into the hallway of some nerd dorm and leave it there. And watch.

might I suggest you read the documentation? ;)

I've run it successfully on unix based systems. Haven't tried it on windows though. but it says it supports windows so I believe them. You'll probably get more information from ntop about this person then you probably want to know ;)

you know that's not the end-all cure...MAC addresses can be spoofed pretty easily.

But to guess the correct MAC is pretty hard right?

Right. There's no way someone's going to GUESS one of the MAC addresses that you have allowed on your network -especially if it's only 1 or 2 or something.

No need to guess, I could just sit outside your house and sniff the traffic. The mac addy is sent plaintext.

Good thing I use Mac Address security and 128-bit wep encryption.
