What to do when you are Having Wallpaper Issues in iOS 12

Users seem to have issues with setting up wallpapers. Before proceeding into troubleshooting the issue, do ensure to follow these steps to set up live wallpaper and check if the issue still prevails.

Step 1
Setup ‘Wallpaper’

Go to ‘Settings’ > ‘Wallpaper’ choose the wallpaper from 'Dynamic/Stills/Live'. Dynamic and Stills are basic wallpapers and there won’t be any issues setting up these. Choose 'Live Wallpaper' and set it up for 'Home/Lock' or both the screens. Check if the issue still prevails after following these steps. If it prevails, proceed to step 2.

Step 2
Restart ‘Phone’
'Restart'
the iPhone and check if the issue is fixed.

Step 3
Check ‘Low Power Mode’

Users enable 'Low Power Mode' to save battery drain .This mode disables some features like background refresh, live wallpaper, downloads, mail fetching that brain battery extensively. So, it is mandatory to disable 'Low Power Mode' to enable live wallpapers.

Step 4
Change ‘Live Wallpaper’

Try selecting a new live wallpaper. It may be that the previous one might have flaws. Select wallpaper that is inbuilt/default in the device. Also check with wallpapers categorized under 'Stills/Dynamic'. If the issue still persists, proceed to step 5.

Step 5
Reduce ‘Motion’

There are instances where animations on your phone that comes with the UI may slower your devices. Try disabling it. 'Settings' > 'General' > ‘Accessibility’ > ‘Reduce Motion’. This would fix all issues related to dynamic wallpapers.

Step 6
Enable ‘3D Touch’

3D Touch is needed for live wall papers to function, check if 3D touch is enabled for smooth functioning of live wallpapers. Click ‘Settings’ > ‘General’ > ‘Accessibility’ > ‘3D Touch’. Set the sensitivity to light and check if the issue is fixed.
