What to do When Apps Refuse to Work on iOS 11

Apple had already warned its users regarding updating their iPhones with iOS 10.3. Apps that work only in a 32bit environment would refuse to launch upon updating. So, in case you have updated to iOS 11, and if the apps that are still 32bit environment compatible, they would refuse to work with iOS 11. In that case, please proceed to step 1.

Step 1
Try ‘Updating’

Visit the AppStore, tap on the Updates tab. Check if there are any available updates for the app that refuses to open. If it is available, do update it. You can also opt to update all the installed apps that are yet to be updated by clicking on the update all tab. If the app doesn’t have a valid update, click on ‘General’>‘Settings’> ‘About’>‘Applications’.

In case if it is a 32bit app, an arrow would be seen next to those applications. Tap on the section to see which apps don’t have updates available.

Step 2
Try ’64 Bit App’

In this case, let know the developer to release a 64-bit version of the same app for it to work. There is an option to contact the app developer. Visit app store, click on customer reviews section, and tap app support.

Step 3
‘Validation’

Click on 'Applications' tab. If it doesn’t lead to another window, that confirms there are no 32bit apps installed on the phone.

Once it is confirmed, the iPhone is good to use without any hassles.
