What to do when a roommate sings to himself all the time?

My roommate CLAIMS that he is an outstanding singer. I have been a brass player for almost eight years and this guy can't sing worht $^$#. I told him that he should join the university choir if hew is soooo good but then he shut up for two weeks. Now he is singing B. Spears music and it is making me want to go postal. Suggestions on a less BLOODY solution to the problem?
