In two weeks I'll have a brand new computer by my desk.
Will it be:
1Ghz T-bird w/ AMD760 + GeForce2
or
1Ghz T-bird w/ AMD760 + Radeon 64
or
1Ghz T-bird w/ KT133A + GeForce2
or
1Ghz T-bird w/ KT133A + Radeon 64

or should I wait for NV20/Radeon2???

I want to use w2k as OS.

Can you please help me deside?

The real question is how much can you afford.
The AMD 760 looks to be a great chipset, but will there need to be time involved before it is stable?

The chances are that you may not be able to notice the additional bandwidth allowed by the DDR system ram at this time. Tech sites are quoting only a 5 to 8 % increase in system memory speed.

I run a dual boot with 98SE and WIn2k.
The TBird runs great in Win2k using a KT133 chipset.
It really depends if you want the fastest performance..

Well, if you're going to have a new computer in two weeks, you can almost certainly forget about those two. And if you're going to run Win2K, it will eliminate Radeon because Win2K drivers are not up to par with nVidia, but Im sure they're working on it and they'll have them out sooner or later. If you can afford DDR RAM, by all means, 760 over KT133A.

In i Norway 128MB DDR ram costs about us $220. So it would be a bit pricy if I'm gonna buy 256MB DDR for my W2k system.. But I could always start with 128 MB..

But my biggest concern is the incompabilty with the current Radeon drivers and w2k. How bad/good is the Radeon on w2k, and how about Geforceperformance on dvd encoding and 2D?
I like games like quake/unreal, but also to wathch a dvd..
