An acquaintance has sent a rebate form with the receipt, the packaging slip but did not include the UPC code (she's around 15, was her first attempt at rebates, didn't read the fine print, didn't know much about rebates).
It was the $20 rebate on Si Pix digital camera from buy.com, the company dealing with the rebate is rebatestatus.com. They have given their customer service number as well but getting through to a CS rep after all the options ("you have submitted the rebate less than 6 weeks ago, wait at least 8 weeks before contacting us.." or "press 1 for detail about rejection due to.....").
Can anyone guide me whether she should re-submit the rebate form with the UPC code? Whether doing so will disqualify her for the rebate for multiple submissions? Should she wait for the rejection post card and then re-submit?
Thanks.
