Hi guys

I am going to the san jose area for this weekend, I have been there before (not in the last 1 and half years though) but havent really seen much
what to do in and around san jose?

I am going to be there 3 days, I dont mind driving to San Frisco, I have been there a couple of time but only saw the golden gate area

thanks

saw Joe Satriani and Dream Theater last year in L.A, amazing stuff , but my sister and brother in law arent really into that sort of music 😛

Here's the generic list of touristy stuff to do:

1. Pier39
2. Union Square
3. Sony Metreon
4. Up and down Market Street
5. Palace of Fine Arts
6. Dim Sum in Chinatown (largest in the country)
7. Castro
8. Berkeley
9. Golden Gate Park
10. Ghiradelli Square

...

..

.

Profit!

a SF joke:

what do you do when you drop your wallet on castro street??

answer:

kick it all the way to van ness

😀😀

Some couple hidden places that are missed are the downtowns. The Losgatos, Palo Alto, Mountain view are the old school downtowns with the new stores and awesome restaurants. Definately worth cheking out the Palo alto downtown, since its also a college town(stanford)

Los Gatos is a good place on the way to Santa Cruz. There is a club called Mountain Charlies that is pretty good, and other bars.
Mountain View is boring in terms of nightlife, though there is good ethnic food and a dimsum place. Wouldn't bother unless it's on the way.
Don't go to downtown PA expecting a college town. It's more of a rich suburban downtown than a university town. Berkeley is much more collegetown like.
