I am visiting my girlfriend who now lives in Santa Cruz for four days... she isn't too familiar with the area either (just moved there for school... UC Santa Cruz) so anybody have any tips?

Thanks in advance :)

go to the woods!

mystery spot is really not that impressive, but still kinda sorta cool.

the boardwalk there is pretty decent. it's where the lost boys was filmed.

that is ~2+ hours from Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz itself has enough woods probably :p

Anyways...mystery house, beach boardwalk, 17 mile drive on Hwy 1 to name a few. Then there are tons of beaches within a short drive.

Might also want to check out Monterey (south of Santa Cruz) and come to San Francisco (North).

I was really impressed by the campus, but not much else there. You could check out the Mystery Spot. Its lame if you know anything about perception though.

We will be in San Fran for two days (her folks are there) so she knows the area very well out there... SC is a little bit off for both of us.

Any good restaurants I should check out? I don't mind spending a bit more if it's worth it, but not anything that's a formal sit down where I have to dress up :)
