What to do in Santa Ana?

Just curious as to what there is to do in Santa Ana and the immediate surroundings. I'm heading down there for a week but don't know what to check out.

Any suggestions?

It's been quite a few years since I've been down that way, but Disneyland isn't too far away. You've also got the Queen Mary, which is in Long Beach. I'll try to come up with some other ideas for ya tomorrow when I'm awake.

Ok, so what's there to do in LA? And is Santa Ana close to the beach? Sorry, I'm from OR, southern California geography escapes me.

Santa Ana doesn't have much. We got TONS of malls in that area. Unless you're with family, Disneyland is a total waste of money. A better bet is Six Flags over Magic Mountain. The queen mary ain't much either. We have this thing called the Block if you're part of the younger crowd. Its got a big AMC move theatre and a bunch of stores.

We have a TON of PC cafe's also. You could go laser tagging, go karting, or take some trips to the beach.

Where to start....Newport beach, Laguna beach& Huntington beach just to name a few.

There's plenty to do.

Go to Laguna to see Pageant of the Masters. Go to South Coast Plaza. Go to Disneyland, California Adventure and Downtown Disney. Go to the Block of Orange. See an Angels game. Go to the Irvine Spectrum. Go to Fashion Island, Balboa Island and Newport Beach (if the weather gets warmer). Skip SA Mainplace. In OC, there are movie theatres everywhere. The beaches are some of the best in the country.

Have a good time.

You're in Orange County and as such, you're pretty limited (I grew up there so I know )

During the day
South Coast Plaza (Big shopping mall with upscale brands)

At night
Block at Orange
Irvine Spectrum
Downtown Disney in Anaheim

All have restaurants, movie houses, etc.

Every entertainment complex is the same in OC: A multiplex theater and a bunch of stores. I hate OC.

Yes...many places...but there are standouts...
